SURABAYA—Of the 55,848 participants who chose Surabaya State University (UNESA) on the National Selection Based Test (SNBT) route, only 7,614 participants were declared to have passed and were accepted at the 'Home of Champions' campus. These results were obtained based on the announcement of the national UTBK-SNBT results by the 2024 SNPMB (National Selection for New Student Admissions) Committee on Thursday, June 13 2024.
Judging from these figures, the number of applicants or applicants for the 2024 SNBT pathway for UNESA has increased to 55,848 from 40,920 participants last year. However, the number of prospective new student admissions this year was much reduced, namely only 7,614 participants, while UNESA accepted the UTBK-SNBT route last year as many as 10,206 participants.
Enthusiasm Continues to Increase
"We are focused on improving quality and quality, so we have lowered the UNESA admission quota this year, including for the UTBK-SNBT route," said Prof. Dr. Madlazim, M.Si., Deputy Chancellor for Academic, Student and Alumni Affairs, UNESA, on Friday, June 14 2024.
He added that the reduction in admissions quotas on the one hand and the increasing number of applicants on the other hand has created competition Entering a campus with the tagline 'One Step Ahead' is getting tougher.
"Alhamdulillah, UNESA is included in the 20 academic PTNs with the highest number of applicants for the 2024 SNBT route. This is an encouragement for us to continue "Improving the quality of implementation of the tridharma of higher education, including infrastructure, services and innovation in it," he said.
Receive the Most KIPK
Prof. Dr. Fida Rachmadiarti, M.Kes., Director of Educational Transformation and Educational Technology continued, of the 7,614 participants who passed the SNBT route, 3,014 of them were KIPK participants. This number makes UNESA the largest recipient of KIP-K participants in Indonesia.
The FMIPA professor added, a list of 10 study programs with the highest number of recipients of SNBT participants, from the highest, namely, Bachelor of Elementary School Teacher Education with 184 participants, Bachelor of Science in Law, 179 participants, Bachelor of Science in Psychology with 176 participants, and Bachelor of Teacher Education in Early Childhood Education with 148 participants.
Next, Bachelor of Public Administration Study Program accepted 147 participants, Bachelor of Physical Education, Health and Recreation 145 participants, Bachelor of Sports Education Education 144 participants, Bachelor of Office Administration Education 130 participants, Bachelor of Fashion Education 130 participants, and Bachelor of Catering 129 participants.
Independent Pathway Scheme
On another occasion, the Head of Sub-Directorate for Student Admissions and Graduation, Dr. Sukarmin, M.Pd., congratulated the participants who had been accepted at UNESA. He also said that participants who have not yet passed must remain enthusiastic and look forward, because the entrance to UNESA is still wide open through various independent pathway schemes which are currently starting to open.
There are several independent route admission schemes as follows. First, the Achievement Path. Second, the UTBK Non-Test Route. Third, Non-Test Report Card Route. Fourth, Test Track (TMUBK). Fifth, Special Pathway.
"This special pathway includes a special Disability pathway for SMALB students who have physical disabilities. Then, the cooperation pathway, for agencies that already have an MoU with UNESA regarding the admission of new students. Then, "There is a special Affirmation pathway for camaba from 3T, Papua, West Papua, and sons and daughters of TKI," he concluded.[]
