
The UNESA exhibition booth was filled with prospective students at the International Education Exhibition of the Indonesian Embassy in Timor Leste.
Unesa.ac.id. SURABAYA—Surabaya State University (UNESA) participated in the International Education Exhibition which took place at the Indonesian Cultural Center, Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) Timor Leste, on 24-25 October 2024.
An international exhibition presented by the Education Attaché Indonesia for Timor Leste for the young generation of Timor Leste was attended by around 60 universities from Indonesia with various majors and sciences.
English education lecturer, Asrori, one of the UNESA representatives for the exhibition said that this opportunity used to introduce the 'Home of Champions' campus to prospective international students, especially Timor Leste.
Apart from that, UNESA also offers a scholarship program to prospective students from Timor Leste to study at UNESA through the UNESA Global Scholarship program .

"There are around 300 scholarship applicants who underwent an interview session with the UNESA team who went there, including me, and other lecturers, namely Mrs. Herma Retno Prabayanti, and Mr. Muhammad Nurul Ashar," said the Head of Sub-Directorate for International Affairs at UNESA.
He added that the enthusiasm of the visitors to educational exhibitions are very high. The exhibition area was packed with prospective students from Timor Leste, to access information about the dream campus in Indonesia.
One of the students from Timor Leste, Lafiya stated that this educational exhibition was very good to organize and participate in, because it could choose the universities you want to continue your higher education.

Students or prospective students from Timor Leste are enthusiastic about continuing their higher education in Indonesia, the quality of education and lecturers is one of the reasons.
Other students from Timor Leste also said that the enthusiasm for participating in this exhibition was due to the quality of education in Indonesia and supported by professional teaching lecturers.
One of the answers from Timor Leste students when asked why they wanted to study on an Indonesian campus said that, one of the reasons was because The universities are quality and there are lots of great lecturers.
"Many schools in Indonesia are quality, the teachers are also great. That's important in education," said Emelinda, one of the exhibition visitors.
Through this activity, UNESA is ready to become a driving force in efforts to improve international education. Various designs for international scholarship programs have been prepared and can be followed by prospective students all over the world.[*]
