Unesa.ac.id. , SURABAYA—Education Management (MP) Undergraduate Study Program, Faculty of Education (FIP), Surabaya State University (UNESA) is intensifying strengthening internationalization through various strategies, one of which is through lecturer exchanges with foreign universities.
Most recently, the MP S-1 Study Program presented Assoc. Prof. Muhammad Faizal A. Ghani, Head of the Department of Education Management, Planning and Policy, University of Malaya, Malaysia in the Lecturer Exchange which took place in Meeting Room O1, FIP Building, on Wednesday, 11 December 2024.
Activities included in the Competition program The 2024 Merdeka Campus (PKKM) carries the theme "Transformational Leadership in Conducting an Effective School in Society 5.0 and its Challenges."
Dean of FIP UNESA, Mochamad Nursalim said that this activity aims to increase the capacity of lecturers and students in responding to educational challenges in the Society 5.0 era.

This activity is a form of MP UNESA's commitment to strengthening the internationalization of the program.
“Through this activity, we hope "The lecturers and students who attended were able to understand the importance of transformational leadership in creating effective and inclusive schools amidst technological developments," he said.
In his presentation, Muhammad Faizal explained about the era of technological integration such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), and Big Data to create a human-centered society.
In the educational context, this concept demands transformational leaders who are able to utilize technology to support learning, creating an inclusive environment , as well as developing 21st century skills such as critical thinking and creativity.
He added that educational leaders must also identify technology gaps and ensure equal access for all students and be able to drive positive change through inspiration and innovation.< /p>

Guest lecture or exchange This lecturer was enthusiastically welcomed by the leadership, lecturers and students within FIP.
“Challenges such as resistance to change and limited digital skills can be overcome with continuous training for teachers and close collaboration between schools, government and society," he said.
Muhammad Faizal also highlighted the importance of effective schools, which not only prioritize academic results but also create a learning environment that is conducive, inclusive and future-oriented.
"Effective schools must be able to utilize technology to improve learning, monitor student progress, and engaging the community in educational development," he added.
In addition, this event was attended by lecturers and students from FIP. The aim was to strengthen understanding of transformational leadership in creating effective and relevant schools in the era of Society 5.0.[*]< /p>
