Unesa.ac.id., SURABAYA—Information Systems Undergraduate Study Program, Surabaya State University (UNESA) held a Guest Lecture on May 6 2024 . This activity, which students and lecturers always look forward to, carries the theme "Introduction of Requirement Change in Industry", which presents leading experts in the field of project management and software engineering, Pandu Dwi Luhur Pambudi., M.Kom., M.I.M.
The event was opened by the Information Systems Undergraduate Study Program Coordinator, I Kadek Dwi Nuryana, S.T., M.Kom. who in his speech emphasized the importance of understanding changing needs in the information technology industry.“Change is inevitable, especially in the dynamic technology industry. "The ability to adapt to these changes is a skill that every one of our graduates must have," he said.
The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, represented by Prof. Dr. Agus Wiyono S.Pd., MT., welcomed the enthusiasm of the lecturers, especially information systems represented by Cendra Devayana Putra in making the third guest lecture a success.
"Events like this must be maintained and reproduced so that students can "gain more insight into the scope of work of the information systems study program," said Prof. Agus as deputy dean of FT.

Pandu Dwi Luhur Pambudi in his presentation explained various important aspects related to requirement changes in IT projects. He also explained the factors that cause changes in needs, such as changes in regulations, new technology, and feedback from users.
Apart from that, he also discussed methods and strategies for managing these changes so that the project continues to run smoothly and in accordance with the initial objectives.
One of the important points conveyed by the resource person was the importance of effective communication between the project team and stakeholders.
"Clear and open communication between all parties involved is key to successfully managing changing requirements. Without good communication, changes can cause delays, additional costs and even project failure," he stressed.
p>In the question and answer session, the students looked very enthusiastic, asking various questions about the real challenges they faced in their practicum and internship projects.
One of the students asked about how a student can be prepared to become an IT project manager who can handle the changing needs of agents. Pandu Dwi Luhur Pambudi answered that all IT material related to information systems can support the thinking process so that he can become a wise manager.
This event ended with giving certificates to the speakers as an expression of gratitude from the UNESA Information Systems Study Program. The participants felt they had gained new insights that were very valuable and relevant to current industrial developments.
This Guest Lecture not only provides new knowledge, but also motivates students to continue learning and adapting to changes that exist in the information technology industry . It is hoped that through activities like this, UNESA Information Systems students can be better prepared to face challenges in the ever-growing world of work.[]
