Unesa.ac.id. SURABAYA–The Bachelor of Economics Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Surabaya State University (UNESA) held a socialization and sharing session with the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) Surabaya Representative Office II. This activity took place at Pakuwon Tower Surabaya on Wednesday, August 21 2024.
Bambang Samsul Hidayat, Head of LPS Regional Office II Surabaya, in his speech conveyed the importance of this activity for students to take part in, especially economics students who must understand about money problems.
Benazhar Ahmad, Bank Examiners LPS II Surabaya said that LPS plays a role as a protector of customer deposits through guaranteeing deposits in the event of bank failure, as well as its contribution to the stability of the national financial system.
LPS, he continued, it is mandatory to maintain public trust and prevent potential financial harm to society. In this activity, Imam Budi Santoso, as one of the speakers presented, shared knowledge in risk management.
According to him, this is a central topic in the world of banking and finance. This includes understanding the various techniques and strategies used to identify, assess and manage risks that financial institutions may face.
"This is very beneficial for students who will enter the world of work, giving them practical skills that can be applied in their careers in the future," he said.
At this event which was attended by students and lecturers, Kukuh Arisetyawan, lecturer in the Bachelor of Economics FEB UNESA study program, expressed his appreciation for the opportunity given to learn more deeply about the role of LPS .
This event aims to provide students with in-depth insight into the role and function of LPS as well as risk management in the financial industry.
"We hope that Unesa FEB Economics undergraduate study program students can gain an understanding a better understanding of the role of LPS and its practices, as well as being better prepared to face challenges in the professional world," he said.
