“With the shift from old media to new media due to technological developments, we face many challenges. Currently we are thinking about solutions regarding TVRI's change to new media. "Hopefully, this forum can be held regularly in the future," he said.
Awang Dharmawan, S.Ikom., M.A., as moderator and lecturer in Communication Sciences, said that TVRI can certainly develop according to the times without losing its original identity. , one of which is by collaborating with the younger generation.
“UNESA as a university has specific capabilities in communication, social and education. The Communication Science Study Program which has three special specializations can also collaborate in these various aspects. "In this case, the collaboration can be carried out through the creation of new programs," he said.
In this forum, lecturers and student representatives also provided several ideas. It is hoped that media convergence at TVRI will be different from conventional media. The challenge is how TVRI's content fragmentation can be adapted to various media platforms, while maintaining its original identity as a public broadcasting institution.
Communication Sciences Coordinator, Dr. Anam Miftakhul Huda, S.Kom., M.I.Kom., said that this activity was a form of synergy between study programs with public broadcasting institutions, in this case TVRI East Java. With the potential of each party, it is hoped that this collaboration can continue.
