Accompanied by the Manager of Kresna Unesa FC, Prof. Dr. Sujarwanto, M.Pd., the UNESA women's football team seemed enthusiastic about their debut match against Gressia Gresik in the Pertiwi Kajati Jatim Cup 2024.
Unesa. AC ID. SURABAYA—In the opening match of the 2024 Pertiwi Kajati Jatim Cup, Kresna Unesa FC hosted Gressia Gresik which took place at the UNESA Football Field Campus 2 Lidah Wetan on Monday, July 1 2024.
Kresna Unesa FC team manager, Prof . Dr. Sujarwanto, M.Pd., said that this competition aims to stimulate the world of football, especially for UNESA, with the hope of reaching national and even international levels.
"By participating in this competition it is hoped that it can channel the talents and interests of the players which is at UNESA," he said.
This tournament is an important debut for Kresna Unesa FC in building a team supported by UNESA. With the hope of producing talented talents who can compete on the international stage.
Kresna Unesa FC coach, I Dewa Made Aryananda Wijaya Kusuma, said that his team's game was good, only in the middle of the match the players lose focus.
GOOD START: This first match is an experience for the UNESA women's football squad to return with the best performance in the next competition.
“The preparations only 1.5 months, that is our weakness. "And for the future we will prepare well in advance," he said.
He said that in the future there will be increased cohesion within the team because this is the first time there will be collaboration between students and academy players.
" The players come from UNESA's own students and the rest we take from UNESA's academy. "We have academics that cover players aged 8 to 17 years," said the FIKK UNESA lecturer.
Kresna Unesa FC was the only tournament participant from a university. "We have an Asprov membership license," he concluded.
Kresna Unesa FC team captain, Feni Norrahmah, said that even though his team had not achieved maximum results, they could still provide resistance and hold the ball more.
"I hope that in the next match we can get full points," he hoped.
In today's match, Kresna Unesa FC conceded two goals from Gressia Gresik. The final score was 2-0 with Gressia Gresik winning. []
