Unesa.ac.id., SURABAYA–The Community of Teachers and Education Personnel (GTK) together with the Professional Education and Certification Institute (LPSP) and the PG-PAUD Study Program (Prodi), Surabaya State University (UNESA) held a 'Competency Improvement Seminar and Qualification of PAUD Teachers through Recognition of Past Learning (RPL)' at the LPSP Building, Lidah Wetan Campus, Surabaya on Saturday, October 7 2023.
This activity was attended by the Director of Early Childhood Education and Community Education Teachers, Dr. Santi Ambarukmi, M.Ed; Dra. Bardiati, M.Pd., as Chair of the Learning Transformation Working Team, Directorate of PAUD and Dikmas Teachers; Prof. Dr. Sofia Hartini, M.Sc., as Lecturer at Jakarta State University.
In his speech, the Chancellor of Surabaya State University (UNESA) Prof. Dr. Nurhasan, M.Kes., emphasized that the quality of teachers from primary to secondary education units must be a common concern.
"Through this activity we propose various challenges and opportunities for PAUD teachers and from there we can find the right "in increasing teacher competency in accordance with the demands of this digital age," he said.
Santi Ambarukmi said that this collaborative activity is an important point in achieving several goals. First, it provides opportunities for PAUD teachers in Indonesia who have not yet had a linear time studying undergraduate. Second, after teaching and having experience, you can be recognized for pursuing undergraduate education.
Third, RPL program regulations, and following tiered training, the sequence of which consists of basic, advanced, advanced.
" With this scheme, we facilitate PAUD teachers in Indonesia who are not yet linear in pursuing undergraduate studies via the RPL route. "Their experience at school, training certification and their competence can be recognized so that they only take 2 years to study," he said.
Awang Dharmawan, S.Ikom., M.A., as Head of the RPL Center, explained this series of collaboration later focused on RPL program lectures for PAUD teachers. This program is one of the strategies to increase the competency and qualifications of PAUD teachers in Indonesia.
From the Ministry of Education and Culture, especially the Directorate of PAUD and Dikmas, they are also designing actual tiered training to provide an affirmation program so that credit lectures, in addition to having practical experience as a teacher, but it is supported by 822 JP training.
“Therefore, from the training material, RPL program lectures can also be recognized. "This is the second in a series of activities so that PAUD teachers or PAUD mothers throughout Indonesia have the same focus," explained Awang.
This activity was attended by the leadership of UNESA, LPSP, deans and deputy deans, Dharma Wanita PBB (DWP ) UNESA, the Labschool Directorate, study programs and a number of lecturers within UNESA.[]
