
The UNESA Faculty of Law carries out a community service program or PKM focused on legal education for the community and schools.
BANYUWANGI— The Faculty of Law (FH) Surabaya State University (UNESA) carried out community service or PKM in Banyuwangi Regency on Friday, 17 May 2024. This activity was carried out by four teams spread across two sub-districts, namely Glagah District and Rogojampi District, with a focus on providing education to various groups.
In Glagah District, activities took place at SMKN 1 Glagah targeting teachers and students. The first program, entitled "Turning Ideas into Assets: Exploration of Intellectual Property Rights for Students of SMKN 1 Glagah," was chaired by Syahid Ahmad Faisol.
This program aims to provide students with an understanding of the importance of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and how to use it. Students are invited to recognize the various forms of IPR and the steps they can take to protect their own work.
The second program in Glagah District, chaired by Khariza Krishnandya, focuses on preventing sexual violence for teachers. This education is important to increase the awareness and ability of teachers to prevent and handle cases of sexual violence in the school environment.

The UNESA Law Faculty team provides legal education to the community in Banyuwangi Regency through programs PKM.
Through discussion interactive, teachers are provided with information and strategies to create a safe school environment for all students.
Meanwhile, in Rogojampi District, activities are focused on village officials and community members. The program "Socialization of Electronic Land Registration in Rogojampi Village," which is chaired by Tamsil, aims to provide knowledge about electronic land registration procedures.
With this socialization, it is hoped that the community can utilize technology to simplify and speed up the land administration process , which in turn can increase efficiency and transparency.
In addition, Hananto Widodo leads the program "Optimizing the Preparation of Village Regulations to Realize Good Village Governance." This education is provided to village officials to help them formulate more effective and transparent village regulations.

FH UNESA is committed to continuing to implement community service programs as part of efforts to make a real contribution to community development and empowerment
Through workshops and discussions, participants are encouraged to adopt good governance practices based on community participation, so as to improve the overall quality of village government.
In his speech, Arinto Nugroho, S.PD., S.H., M.H., Dean of FH UNESA emphasized that PKM is part of the tridharma of higher education as well as a manifestation of the Faculty of Law's commitment to providing education that is beneficial to society.
