Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA —In order to celebrate the holy month of Ramadan, Surabaya State University (UNESA) is holding a Ramadan Carnival. This activity will take place for one week from Friday-Thursday, 22-28 March 2024 in the Main Courtyard of the Rectorate, Campus 2 Lidah Wetan.
This Ramadan Carnival was opened with various series of activities, one of which was a showcase of student work from the unit UNESA student or UKM activities. Various works from various fields of study were exhibited, starting from the innovative work of UKM Garnesa Electric Cars, UKM Robotics, and UKM Aeromodelling.
Student performances from the arts field were also presented, namely from UKM Hapkido, Jujitsu, Keroncong Cakra Swara , and the UNESA Brass & Woodwind Ensemble. This is not only an opportunity for students to show off their talents and creativity, but also to inspire and motivate other students and visitors.

Director of Student and Alumni Affairs at Surabaya State University, Dr. Muhamad Sholeh, M.Pd., said that this activity started from the desire of UKM students so that the month of Ramadan could be filled with student creative activities involving all UNESA UKM.
Apart from that, students want this Ramadan to be more of a momentum strengthen relations between campus residents and local residents. For this reason, this activity this time looks different from campus festivals in general and before, where there are lots of rides for children's toys such as Ferris wheels, rotating swings, other traditional games.

“There is also an exhibition of UKM from students as entertainment for students, alumni, workers and the local community. "This is one way for UNESA students to greet the local community to come to UNESA," he said.
The various games and performances are a special attraction for the community, so that the rectorate field looks busy and packed with visitors. They expressed their joy at the opportunity to unite, celebrate the beauty of culture, and strengthen ties of brotherhood in a cheerful Ramadhan atmosphere.

This activity also consists of various competitions and festivals that will be held in the afternoon to evening, from Mobile Legends, PES, Chess, Tahfidz Qur'an competitions, Da'wah, Fashion Shows, Exhibitions, Grebek Takjil, recitation and prayer together, as well as the Impersonate Cak Hasan event which will be held at the end of the event.
"I hope that all of UNESA's many students will attend this event. In addition, there is an UKM exhibition, which is carried out so that UNESA students know about trending products and are proud of domestic products. "Hopefully this activity will inspire, move and strengthen relationships and be a blessing for all of us," he hoped. []
