Unesa. ac.id, SURABAYA—Bachelor of Fine Arts Study Program, Faculty of Languages and Arts (FBS) Surabaya State University (UNESA) presents an exhibition of fine art by students, alumni and lecturers at the Vin Autism Gallery, G-Walk, Surabaya. This exhibition starts today, 09-16 September 2024.
This exhibition of works of art with the theme 'Out of Sight' is a real manifestation of deep creativity and dedication, a a unique artistic journey that reflects various perspectives and strong emotions.
"We hope that this exhibition will provide a meaningful experience, enrich insight, and become a source of inspiration in the world of fine arts," said Coordinator of the Bachelor of Fine Arts Study Program , Indah Chrysanti Angge.
This exhibition presents works that represent invisible and neglected aspects in everyday life.
Similarly, Asy Syams Exhibition Curator Elya Ahmad said that this activity is a celebration of the potential within humans to connect with themselves and each other, through a process of exploration carried out together in the fine arts ecosystem.
In addition to emphasizing visualization of what can be happening, this exhibition also highlights track records that may have previously been hidden from view.
With the aim of inspiring and providing interaction, this exhibition offers a visual image that combines diverse points of view (context) and the strong presence of objects (technical achievements ) in the frame of a metanarrative (concept).

More than just an exhibition, Out of Sight also challenges the social and cultural dynamics in the UNESA fine arts ecosystem, encouraging the formation of an art field that is more adaptive and responsive to developments.
“Hopefully, this exhibition will encourage students to get involved in the world of art outside campus and revive active art exhibition activities," explained the Fine Arts lecturer.
The works of art exhibited in this activity are collaborations between 34 artists consisting of students, lecturers, as well as alumni of the UNESA Fine Arts Study Program.
The works of art displayed are varied, from a woman with a panda head, a gun whose steam is in the shape of dozens of skulls, an octopus with a pig's head, to a painting of a group of mouths of political elites.< /p>
For the general public who want to enjoy these works of art, they can come directly to the location listed and there is no charge.[]
