National Tent Activities by UNESA IMBBN Subdirectorate in Trawas Mojokerto
Unesa.ac.id. SURABAYA—Subdirectorate of Ideology, Religious Moderation and National Defense (IMBBN) which is under the auspices of the Directorate of Prevention and Handling of Strategic Issues (PPIS) of the State University of Surabaya (UNESA) held the National Camp for Religious Moderation and National Defense on 24-25 July 2024 at Trawas, Mojokerto.
This National Tent carries the theme Harmony in Diversity. "This national camp must be a trigger for students to contribute to creating an inclusive and tolerant educational environment," said Mutimmatul Faidah as Director of PPIS UNESA when opening the activity.
There are four important things in national insight, namely Pancasila, The 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) and Diversity. "Studying national insight is a crucial aspect in forming the national identity and awareness of a nation," he continued.
This national camp also strengthens the substance of religious moderation and also defending the country to realize UNESA as a national campus that continues to strengthen values Pancasila is integrated with academic and student activities.
The success of religious moderation in Indonesian society and campus life can be seen from four main indicators which are interrelated and support each other.
First, national commitment. Acceptance of the national principles contained in the constitution, such as the 1945 Constitution and the regulations under it, shows a strong national commitment.
Second, tolerance or respect for differences and giving space to other people to believe, express their beliefs and express opinions.
Third, non-violence. Religious moderation can be achieved through non-violent action in any form, whether physical, psychological, verbal or digital. This is important to create a peaceful and harmonious environment, including on campus.
Fourth, it is friendly or able to accept traditions to create harmony in the lives of the diverse community and academic community. This camp activity was attended by all UNESA achievement track students and students of religious moderation and national defense. [*]
