Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA—Carlos Barroca and Natalia Andre from the Junior National Basketball Association (Jr. NBA) were present as presenters for the Basketball Coaching Clinic in the U1 Building, 2nd floor of the Lab. Anatomy, Faculty of Sports and Health Sciences (FIKK) UNESA on Saturday, 30 September 2023.
This activity was attended by dozens of FIKK students each from the Sports Coaching Education (PKO), Physical Education, Health and Recreation study programs ( PJKR), Sports Science (Ikor), and Sports Management.
On that occasion, Carlos Barroca delivered a direct demonstration on how to become a good sports teacher specifically for basketball, as well as providing motivation to students to be enthusiastic about achieving their dreams by continuing to learn and progress.
"Every "Every day, I continue to study, because learning doesn't mean stopping when we graduate from school or college, but we all have to continue to gain knowledge and progress. And today I also learned a new lesson from all my friends," he said.

According to him, sport has become a necessity in today's society which needs to continue to be encouraged. Trends in this field always have their own attention in the hearts of the people. Therefore, opportunities in the sports sector are always open and sports human resources are always needed.
"Sports is a big industry in Europe, even in countries like Asia we are starting to see sports continuing to grow. This must be a concern, students and coaches or sports practitioners need to continue to upgrade their skills and read about developments in this field in the future with increasingly advanced technology," he explained.
Meanwhile, Bhekti Lestari S.Pd., M.Kes., PKO lecturer and moderator said that this was the first coaching clinic held with Jr. NBA. This activity is an important provision for students.
"They can hear and learn directly from NBA celebrities about the challenges and future of sports, especially in the field of basketball, about careers and strategies as well as the sports industry," he said.
For your information, the Jr NBA is carrying out a visit program to various areas which coincide in Surabaya. So, to increase knowledge, experience and motivation for its students, FIKK invites them to share their knowledge with FIKK students. This activity was attended by FIKK leadership, lecturers and trainers within FIKK. (*)
