Surabaya State University (UNESA) students attended the DKV Entrepreneurship final assignment exhibition. They were seen visiting the Tangga Jelajah booth.
Unesa. ac.id, SURABAYA -- Students of Visual Communication Design (DKV), Faculty of Languages and Arts (FBS), Surabaya State University (UNESA) class of 2022 (semester 4) held an exhibition of their final assignments for the Entrepreneurship course. The exhibition, which will last for two days (4-5 June 2024), presents student creativity and innovation in two themes, namely "Creatical" and "Animal Crossing."
This exhibition is held in the 1st Floor Exhibition Room T14 , FBS, Campus 2 Lidah Wetan, Surabaya. On the first day, 36 class A students presented their work with the theme "Creatical." Each group consisting of 5-6 people presents various creative and unique products.
Then, on the second day, it was the turn of class B students to hold an exhibition with the theme "Animal Crossing," presenting works that attracted attention.
Kanya Catya, S.T., M.A., lecturer in the Entrepreneurship course, said that this exhibition is not only a place to showcase students' final work, but also as a platform to market and sell products or services they developed during their studies. .
The Perfume Booth was surrounded by students taking part in the exhibition.
Careful preparation Starting from the concept, booth design, to marketing strategies, it shows the entrepreneurial spirit of the students.
The aim of this exhibition is to showcase students' creativity and innovation in design, marketing and selling the products/services they create, improving entrepreneurial skills, as well as encouraging collaboration and networking between students, lecturers and creative industry players.
"Products and services on display must meet the criteria of originality, creativity, usefulness and relevance to the design industry," he said.
Innovative Work
One of the booths that attracted the most attention on the first day was the perfume booth chaired by Nayla Intan. This booth offers a unique experience for visitors to mix their own perfume.
Even though they are just learning to mix perfume, Nayla's group managed to attract the attention of visitors with their innovation and dedication. Nayla revealed the challenges in financing because the raw materials for perfume are expensive.
"This perfume seed is quite expensive, so we spent around 500-600 thousand in capital," said Nayla. However, their hard efforts paid off with many visitors interested in buying their perfume.

On the second day, the "Animal Crossing" exhibition displayed works that were no less interesting.
One of them is a group of five chaired by Kinanti Febrian Valentina with the project "Tangga Jelajah Nusantara," an educational board game about languages in Indonesia.
Kinanti explained that their goal is to invite children, teenagers and adults to learn regional languages in a fun way.
“Our main target is children, because they difficult to teach regional languages. "However, this game is also aimed at teenagers and adults who may have forgotten their regional language lessons," said Kinanti.
He hopes that this exhibition can be an opportunity for students to show their abilities and build networks with other parties. -Related parties.
For your information, the exhibition on Tuesday-Wednesday, 4-5 June 2024 in the Exhibition Room, 1st Floor T14 was attended by DKV 2022 class A and B students. Meanwhile, on Wednesday-Thursday, 5 -6 June 2024 in Room T14.03.07 attended by DKV 2022 students of classes C and D.[*]
