Unesa.ac.id., SURABAYA—Entrepreneurship Exhibition for Visual Communication Design (DKV) Faculty of Languages and Arts (FBS) students ) Surabaya State University (UNESA) will be held again on 6-7 June 2024 in the Display Room, Building T14 FBS, Campus 2 Lidah Wetan.
This time, the exhibition was presented by class 2022 class C and D students who displayed various creative and innovative works from 66 students who filled 50 booths.
On the first day, the DKV 2022 C class presented an exhibition with the theme "Co Creation" which presented an atmosphere like on a farm. The booths displayed were filled with decorations reminiscent of rural life, providing a unique and pleasant atmosphere for visitors.
One of the booths that attracted visitors' attention was Qizzie Shop, owned by Nadia Izza and Aqila Sabrina. This booth provides design services for trendy charms or sandal decorations. Not only designing, Qizzie Shop also sells ready-made charms.
According to Izza, along with developments in fashion and lifestyle, accessories have become an important part of expressing individual personality and taste. Lately, one of the popular trends is the use of charms or ornaments on sandals, even shoes.
"Seeing this trend, I think this product is very relevant to offer to follow current fashion trends," he said.< /p>
On the second day, the exhibition was attended by the DKV 2022 D class with the theme "VIBRANT" (Visual Ideation Business Reality and Artistic New Thought). This theme emphasizes visual ideas that focus on business realities and new artistic thinking.
The 'Beauty of the World' booth, a collaboration between Arya Bima and Raka Izzata, is one that attracts attention. They provide photography services, from graduation photos to wedding photography.
Their booth is decorated with amazing photography work, attracting many visitors. "We use entrepreneurship in the service section, namely photography services, so our stand emphasizes the work we have done," said Raka Izzata.
Qizzie Shop is one of booth displayed at the UNESA DKV FBS Study Program Entrepreneurship Exhibition.
In addition to displaying their portfolio, this booth also provides free photo services for visitors, which adds interest and direct interaction with the audience.
The exhibition This entrepreneurship does not only focus on physical products, but also on creative and innovative design services. Each booth displays the uniqueness and expertise of each student in developing business ideas related to design.
This event is an opportunity for students to develop business ideas related to design. introducing and promoting students' works to the wider community.
Muhamad Rois Abidin, S.Pd., M.Pd., lecturer in entrepreneurship courses, expressed his admiration for the works on display beyond my expectations. "Your works are very interesting," he said.
He hopes that through this exhibition, students can further develop their skills in the field of design, and be able to see business opportunities that exist around them.
During During the two days of the exhibition, visitors could see firsthand the creativity of students in creating innovative products and services. They also had the opportunity to interact and learn directly from the students about the creative and business processes behind each work on display.
This exhibition is part of the Entrepreneurship course curriculum which aims to train students in developing business ideas and applying the knowledge they have learned in class."Apart from that, this event is also a means to practice presentation skills and student communication in marketing their products and services," he said.
