Unesa. AC ID. SURABAYA—More than one hundred works of leadership projects from students from the Pre-Service Professional Teacher Education (PPG) and Prospective Teacher Education Programs at Surabaya State University (UNESA) were exhibited at the Work Degree which took place at the UNESA Rectorate Field, Campus 2 Lidah Wetan, on Friday, September 13 2024.
This activity with the theme 'Educational Transformation: Harmony of Innovation in Diversity' presents a variety of innovative works in various fields, including learning media, robotics, digitalization of batik motif designs, augmented reality natural disasters, primitiva voyager 3D rotating dioramas, and more.
These works will be selected to be patented and have the potential to take part in competitions on the upcoming National Teachers' Day commemoration. "In total there are 130 works by Pre-service PPG students in batches 1 and 2. There are also works by prospective UNESA teachers. "Participants for the work title reached 1,717 participants," said Head of BPPG UNESA, Fatkhur Rohman Kafrawi.
Fatkhur Rohman added, in this activity, BPPG collaborated with the Directorate for Prevention and Handling of Strategic Issues (PPIS) and its staff, as well as the East Java Provincial National Narcotics Agency (BNNP).
The activity began with a competition by the East Java BNNP, and Pound-Fit exercise which was intended as an effort to familiarize the younger generation to live a clean and healthy lifestyle, away from drug abuse.

Head of BBPG UNESA provides reinforcement in the Work Degree which is intended to strengthen the innovation ecosystem at UNESA.
“With With Pound Fit exercises that are suitable for the millennial generation, it is hoped that there will be no narcotics abuse due to lack of time or stress. Whatever the reason, drugs are very dangerous for health and the future. Never mind using it, just never go near it," he stressed.
Present to provide reinforcement, Haris Supratno, Chairman of the Board of Trustees (MWA) emphasized the importance of students mastering entrepreneurship and skills. Entrepreneurship skills can be added as teaching material which can later be applied to all students.
"We as teachers educate students so that they can create jobs, this refers to PPG student courses which have the output of a skilled work," he added.
Vice Chancellor II for Law, Management, Finance, Resources and Business, Bachtiar Syaiful Bachri said that this activity is expected to have a positive output for all PPG students.

From various work, Robotica, a simple robotics innovation project to increase the creativity of elementary school students, was named the most innovative work.
Afida Sukmaningrum, one of the team that initiated Robotica said, the work they created was used as a learning medium for the participants students at SDN Sidotopo IV/51, Surabaya which can also be used in other schools.
With this learning media, it is hoped that students can hone problem solving skills and abilities from an early age. "Considering that technology is increasingly sophisticated, of course as educators we must have new breakthroughs to create the nation's next generation who are ready to compete technologically," he said.
There are three products they produce, and all of these products come from environmentally friendly materials. There is a paper windmill combined with a dynamo, an interactive Earth orbit card as a means of learning about the solar system, and an electric broom made of cardboard.
Uniquely, the process of making these products involves students from grades 4, 5 and 6. The manufacturing process is quite complicated, involving a dynamo, battery and small cables. "Hopefully this will be a motivation to always improve yourself to become an innovative and professional teacher," he said.

This activity received a positive response from various parties. Fadian, a PPG History student, said that the leadership project was very beneficial for students, where many aspects of skills were trained there, starting from management, reading needs in the field, especially at school, then responding to them with innovative work as a solution.
"From this activity, we train how we manage, from leadership, then how we find a product that we will make, a problem that we will address, and find a solution," he said.
In the future, PPG students in batch 2 in 2023 and batch 1 in 2024 are expected to be able to continue this tradition of innovation, which will also be implemented when they undergo PPL (Practical Field Experience). It is hoped that the results of this activity can prepare prospective teachers to face educational challenges in the future.[]
