Unesa. AC ID. GRESIK—The Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) of Surabaya State University (UNESA) in collaboration with the Ma'arif Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Educational Institute (LP) held training on the use of technology for education in the school hall on Monday, August 26 2024. < /p>
The LPPM UNESA Community Service (PKM) was attended by 60 teachers from various levels of education in the Ma'arif NU environment, starting from Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI), Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs), Madrasah Aliyah (MA), to Vocational High School (SMK).
This training presented expert speakers from UNESA, Muhammad Turhan Yani; Oce Wiriawan; Sari Edi Cahyaningrum; Mufarrihul Hazin; Nurhayati; Adhega Wijaya; and Zulaikhah Abdullah.

“Transformation Technology has become the key in developing education in the current digital era. "We must be able to use technology wisely to create learning that is more inclusive, efficient and relevant to global change," he said.
The chief executive, Mufarrihul Hazin, delivered material on "Digital Platforms for Digital Learning Media." He emphasized the importance of utilizing various digital platforms in managing digital-based education and learning.
"We at UNESA are very aware of the importance of using technology in accelerating the quality of education in the current era. Through this training, great educators at the Ma Education Institute "'arif NU can utilize technology effectively to create innovative and interesting learning for students," he said.
In addition to presenting the material, the PKM team also held a session introducing various types of digital tools that can be used to create interactive and interesting learning media, such as AI, Canva, and Quizizz.

During the simulation , participants are asked to create examples of learning media using the tools they have learned. They collaborated with each other to form small groups to design and present the results of their work.
Apart from training, this activity was also marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between UNESA and the NU Ma'arif Education Institute, as a form of joint commitment to continue to work together in educational development, especially in the field of educational technology.
Chairman of the NU Randegansari Ma'arif Education Institute, Mustaman, expressed his high hopes for the training and cooperation that has been signed. "We are very grateful to UNESA for this extraordinary collaboration, we hope that this training will be the first step in educational transformation under the auspices of Ma'arif NU," he said.
Muhajir from Vocational School Ma'arif NU added that direct practice in making digital learning media really helped them. "With the platform described, I feel better prepared to create interesting and interactive content for students," he concluded.[]
