In the material session, Prof. Susan Ledger emphasized the importance of cooperation and collaboration for teachers in schools. Collaboration in this context has a broad meaning, namely with fellow teachers, students, parents and stakeholders. That way, an effective learning environment can be created.
He added that labschool is different from schools in general. The advantage of a lab school is that it is a school adjacent to a university where learning theories, methods, media, approaches and innovations are produced. Even educational experts were born and formed there.
“Labschool should not be the same as other schools, it should be different. "Most of the time in schools, students are more concerned about cognitive development, even though there are other aspects that are also important, such as feelings and fitness," he said.
Prof Susan Ledger explained the pillars of learning, namely active learning, application of technology, teacher research, and more specific education. Apart from that, there are 4 pillars of institutional responsibility, namely social pillars, environmental pillars, economic pillars, legal and government pillars.
Other things that are important to pay attention to regarding learning are reality, equality, equity, and liberation. Reality means that there are many people who need it, but those who are higher in age, position and so on are more favored.
Meanwhile, equality means equally. Next, there is equity which means fairness or giving more to people who need it. And liberation means freedom. "We need reality and equality, but equity is better, therefore in the education system in schools all teachers can provide equal and fair portions to students," he said.< /p>
