SURABAYA—Surabaya State University (UNESA) through the Directorate of Public Relations and Public Information continues to make proud achievements at the national level, one of which is consistently winning prestigious awards at the Dikti Public Relations Award or Diktisaintek Anugerah (now) consecutively, since its debut in 2020.
Most recently, at the 2024 Diktisaintek Award, Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (Kemendiktisaintek) whose awarding was held at Graha Diktisaintek, Jakarta on December 13 2024, the Directorate of Public Relations and Public Information contributed a total of 4 awards to UNESA.
This number of awards makes UNESA Public Relations the one that received the most national awards at the 2024 Public Relations Awards, along with IPB (4 public relations medals). The details of the UNESA Public Relations medal, namely, 1) Gold winner in the PTN-BH press release category; 2) Silver winner in the PTN-BH social media management category;
Next, 3) Bronze winner in the PTN-BH public relations person category by Vinda Maya Setianingrum as Director of Public Relations and Public Information at UNESA; and 4) Bronze winner PTN-BH student press category by Erza Angelia Putri, UNESA Public Relations reporter team.
This award received appreciation from the ranks of the Ministry of Education and Technology, and the leadership of UNESA. UNESA Chancellor Nurhasan, who was present to receive the award, expressed his pride in the performance of the Directorate of Public Relations and Public Information so far which has continuously demonstrated its achievements at the national level.
"I remember very well, the first award I received at Anugerah "Dikti or Diktisaintek Award comes from public relations, then there is one from the field of cooperation. Alhamdulillah now you can get it in other fields too," said Cak Hasan after the award appreciation of the outstanding community at Graha Sawunggaling, on December 20 2024.

Meanwhile, the Director of Public Relations and Public Information, Vinda Maya Setianingrum said, this award is a manifestation of the hard work, cooperation and sincere work of all levels of the public relations team, and of course also for the encouragement and support of the leadership, as well as the field others around UNESA.

The Director of Public Relations told of his struggle with the team to achieve this achievement. It takes commitment, passion, patience and hard work to be able to compete with other universities in Indonesia.
Especially when UNESA transformed into PTN-BH. The competition is very challenging, namely with other large PTNs that are already strong in the field of public relations, such as UGM, IPB, UI and other 'elephant' PTNs.
"Thanks to commitment and good teamwork, some even work overtime for days and every day we can finally show the same level in the field of public relations as other PTN-BH. This has been proven from year to year "This year we can excel at the national level," he explained.
UNESA Public Relations' brilliant achievements in the Diktisaintek Award are not only in 2024, but they have achieved achievements long before and are consistent every year.
