unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA— The leadership of the Faculty of Education (FIP) at Surabaya State University (UNESA) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) and Implementation Arrangement (IA) with delegates from the University of Wrocław, Poland and the University of Trento, Italy in the Meeting Room, Building 01, FIP, on Monday , February 19 2024.
The two delegates in question are Anita Anna Gorynia, Ph.D. from the University of Wroclaw and Vladimir Danchuk from the University of Trento. They signed an MoA with the Dean of FIP Prof. Dr. Nursalim, M.Si, who continued to sign the IA with the study program coordinators.
In his speech, the Dean of FIP Prof. Dr. Nursalim, M.Sc., said that the collaboration was FIP's commitment to fostering international partnerships. Apart from that, it is also to increase opportunities for students and the FIP academic community in general to develop themselves and gain experience, build international networks.
"I invite all levels to really take advantage of this opportunity for cooperation and commit to realizing it. We must continue to strengthen collaboration to become the the best in the fields of education and innovation and providing a positive impact on society," he said.
On that occasion, Anita Anna Goryania, said that she needed to share ideas, knowledge and experiences to create extraordinary new ideas. According to him, there are many ideas about education in Poland and Indonesia that can be elaborated on.
"Both countries have different histories and experiences of implementing education, such as PAUD or SD for example, which of course is a difference in perspective that needs to be explored not to decide which one is better, but to find its uniqueness in each context," he said.
Meanwhile, Vladimir Danchuk expressed his hope to be able to contribute to UNESA in the field of international languages. He hopes to be able to participate in future projects related to English and make students interested in the learning he brings.
With this collaboration, the two academics from Europe will provide collaborative lectures with FIP lecturers for students , will also attend seminars and workshops in FIP study programs.
It is hoped that their presence will be an opportunity for lecturers and students to build global insight and improve international language skills. The two resource persons will also create joint research and joint publications together at FIP.
This activity was attended by the Dean of FIP, Prof. Dr. Mochamad Nursalim, M.Si., Deputy Dean for Planning, Finance, Resources, General Affairs, Cooperation and Information Communication Technology, Dr. Andi Kristanto, S.Pd., M.Pd., coordinators of FIP environmental study programs, both bachelor's, master's and doctoral programs.[]
