Unesa.ac.id., SURABAYA—Student Activity Community (KKM) Sendratasik Theater, Faculty of Languages and Arts (FBS), University Negeri Surabaya (UNESA) held the First Performance (PENA) for the class of 2023 at the Sawunggaling Building, Lidah Wetan Campus on Thursday, February 22 2024. The theme this time was 'When the Sense of Lulling in the First Performance (Karya Buana)'.
Bringing two drama scripts, namely 'Sidang Para Satan' and 'Boenga Reomah Makan', this performance collaborates with the KKM Sendratasik Student Activity Unit (UKM) to present pantomime performances, live music and contemporary dance.
< p>Dr. Setyo Yanuartuti, M.Si., Coordinator of the Undergraduate Education Sendratasik Study Program, said that works of art are the result of a creative process that depicts individual expression. In this context, activities like this become a means to develop their expressions.According to him, this activity succeeded in creating works of art which is a sign of success in the creative process.
Syaiful Qadar Basri , S.Pd, M.Hum., KKM supervisor for the Sendratasik Theater, expressed the success of the "Pena" event, which is the second agenda of this year's Sendratasik work program.
The event was successfully carried out smoothly, marking success collaboration between members. Basri emphasized the importance of this collaboration in familiarizing participants with the valuable experience of this activity.
Furthermore, he stated that this collaboration succeeded in forming a positive synergy between new members (class of 2023) and upperclassmen, fostering an atmosphere without the existence of rigid seniority.
This is a significant step forward in strengthening the community and improving the quality of interaction between members of the Sendratasik Theatre.
Syahroni Kurniawan, the chief organizer of this inaugural performance said that this activity is an introduction event for new students majoring in Sendratasik Education in the field of theatrical performance.
Rio Boger, director of the script for 'Sidang Para Satan', said that his group would present stories about political and social criticism. He hopes that this performance can motivate artists.

Meanwhile, Yoga Yan Wardana as the director of the script for 'Boenga Roemah Makan' tells the story he is telling about a beautiful woman who is the dream of many men who fall in love with her. an unexpected man. Taking one month to prepare, he hopes that this activity will be a successful introduction for new students.
"This first performance is a benchmark for us, so that it will be easier for new Sendratasik students when holding similar activities in the future. ," said Yoga.[]
