UNESA leadership together with a number of partners, community members and local residents took a healthy walk together to start the Student Fair.

SURABAYA—Thousands of academics including new students of Surabaya State University (UNESA), even local residents filled the rectorate field of Lidah Wetan Campus 2, Surabaya, on Sunday, August 25 2024. They took part in the opening of the Student Fair which will last for one week forward.
This agenda is part of the Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) and the 60th Anniversary of UNESA. "Over the next week, there will be many activities, the aim of which is to foster student creativity and innovation," said Nurhasan, Chancellor of UNESA.
He added, the Student Fair is also part of welcoming new students with the hope that they can start their studies this semester with joy and fun.
The Chancellor of UNESA welcomed the participants and appreciated the Student Fair. He hopes that this activity will become a forum for developing students' potential, interests and talents.
"Lecture "That's learning and gaining experience. Enjoy the process. Focus on your goals and achieve as many achievements as possible," said the Chancellor, who is familiarly known as Cak Hasan, to new students.
The Director of Student and Alumni Affairs, Muhamad Sholeh, said that this activity was intended for the community, new students and alumni. For new students, for example, there is an introduction activity for student activity units or UKM selingkung UNESA.
This activity is intended to provide information about UKM which is suitable as a place for self-development, as well as soft skills according to the talents and interests of each student. This is expected to encourage student achievement UNESA.
Meanwhile, alumni who have just graduated are prepared for career fair, works with around 30 companies. There were around 1,700 alumni who registered and they were immediately interviewed by companies. The career fair takes place Monday-Tuesday, 26-27 August 2024.

Chairman of the committee , Agung Setiawan, explained, this Student Fair consists of a number of activities starting with today's healthy walk, then there is a student expression stage, career fair, UKM expo, campus thanksgiving nationality, grand final of high school bands throughout East Java, prayers together, and finally there will be a Dewa-19 concert, on Friday, August 30 2024.
Apart from that, there are also activities public lecture with the Central Information Commission of the Republic of Indonesia (KIP RI) and the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT). BNPT will also award UNESA as a national campus.
"This activity unites everyone, the leadership with the entire community and extended family UNESA. Even local residents "There were those present who watched and opened sales stands," said the lecturer who is the Head of Sub-Directorate for Ormawa and Alumni Development.[]
