User tendencies on platforms like TikTok and Instagram against the use of modified terms to avoid algorithmic censorship, allowing them to discuss sensitive topics without the risk of their content being blocked, for example in the context of narrating criticism of humanitarian issues in Palestine.
This adaptation shows the community's ability to adapting to strict technological regulations while ensuring that important messages continue to reach a wider audience.
While other case studies also allow for communication challenges, due to the use of modified terms they will only be understood by certain communities, for example in terms of disguising harsh curses or sarcastic diction.
