Chairman of MWA, Chancellor of UNESA, Chair of SAU, and Head of BPPG chaired the coordination meeting for the preparation of PPG Daljab for certain teachers which was attended by various related parties from UNESA to civil service teachers.
Unesa. ac.id, SURABAYA—The Teacher Professional Education Agency (BPPG) of Surabaya State University (UNESA) is finalizing preparations for the first batch of in-service PPG (daljab) in 2024 for certain teachers. One thing that was done was to hold a coordination meeting attended by all levels of leadership at the Swiss-Belinn Ballroom, Darmo Surabaya on Wednesday, August 14 2024.
In the agenda attended by the deans, coordinators, UNESA co-ops and teachers The teacher of this school, the Chancellor of UNESA, Nurhasan, in his speech said that preparations for teacher certification, especially those who are entering retirement, must be intensified, later they will receive supervision from the university's Board of Trustees (MWA).
"We have to have a special formula so that we can quickly adapt to the new rules, hopefully everything can go well according to our expectations," the sports science professor who is familiarly known as Cak Hasan when opening the event attended 129 of these invitations.
At the event which will run until 15 August 2024, the Head of BPPG UNESA, Fatkur Rohman Kafrawi, explained that the 'certain teachers' referred to here are teachers who have served, but do not yet have teaching certification or are in position ( daljab).
He added that there were several efforts made by PPG to achieve this target, namely providing PPG students with UKPPPG assistance or Teacher Pedagogical and Professional Competency Tests. Second, the PPL carried out by prajab or what are now called prospective teachers is not only carried out in schools around East Java, but also abroad, such as in Malaysia for example.
"We also have coaching for prajab alumni so that if they want to continue their Masters, they can do it with RPL. Apart from that, we want PPG friends to be able to do KM and research abroad, so they can have new experiences," he said.
At this event, there was an MoA or Memorandum of Agreement between BPPG and the East Java Provincial Education Office. Muhammad Reza, Head of the UNESA BPPG Partnership and Cooperation Division, said this collaboration was one of several collaborations between UNESA and the governor.
This MoA contains Field Experience Practices or PPL with schools under the auspices of the department such as SMA, SMK, and SLB, according to their majors. Through this collaboration, PPG students will have the opportunity to teach at the school they have chosen.
"We hope that other forms of cooperation will be created, such as the agency's trust in us to provide training to improve the quality of teachers. That is a form of our attention, our contribution to the tutor teachers because they have accompanied our students," he said. []
