Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA— In order to improve the Key Performance Indicators (IKU), the Independent Learning Campus Sub-Directorate (MBKM) held an online Socialization and Demonstration of the Use of the MBKM Information System "MELISA" for Outbound and Inbound Student Exchange Programs on Tuesday, August 22, 2023.
UNESA Academic Director, Prof. Dr. Fida Rachmadiarti, M.Kes., said that MBKM at UNESA has 8 activities, which consist of teaching assistance/PLP, work internships/PKL, humanitarian projects, student exchanges, research internships, entrepreneurial activities, independent studies/projects, and building villages/ Thematic KKN.
“Later all of these MBKM activities will be added to the MELISA system. We will perfect this system so that it is clear about the designation of each type of activity and MBKM does not only focus on one type," he said. M. Jacky, M.Sc., explained that currently the number of foreign students at UNESA is increasing. This socialization is intended to facilitate student exchange schemes, both outbound and inbound, so that they can be converted with a weight of 20 credits.
Relation to the student exchange program policy, Supriyanto, S.Pd., M.Pd., PIC PMM 3 UNESA said, student exchange was in the Ministry of Education and Culture Flagship program category ( PMM and IISMA) are equivalent to 20 credits and abort the KKNT obligation at UNESA. However, students are encouraged to take part in lecture activities in study programs, both within their own study programs and across study programs within UNESA.
The Head of the Student Exchange Section also conveyed policies for outbound students. First, the courses taken by UNESA outbound students on the destination campus are directly inputted into the same courses in the original study program or adapted to other courses according to the study program's considerations.
Second, the study program from students is required to provide 20 credits for conversion courses, both grades and number of credits for courses taken by students in the destination study program. Third, outbound students report to the study program coordinator about the courses programmed in the destination study program.

"Don't forget to keep updating the latest information about Melisa and follow the existing guidelines," he ordered. This activity was attended by students, lecturers, undergraduate and D-4 program coordinators of UNESA. [*]
