Unesa.ac.id. SURABAYA–Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (Fisipol)Surabaya State University (Unesa) received a prestigious award from the Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (Kemenpan RB) for its success in providing friendly public services for vulnerable groups.
This award was presented on December 31 2024 in Jakarta, at an event attended by various government agencies and public service providers. Fisipol Unesa received the award after achieving a score of 94.54 based on a series of assessments by the Kemenpan RB team.
This achievement makes Fisipol Unesa one of the educational institutions that shows a high commitment to providing services that are inclusive, disability-friendly and easily accessible to all parties, especially vulnerable groups such as people with disabilities, the elderly and those in need. special attention.
Wiwik Sri Utami, Dean of Fisipol, said that this achievement was the result of the joint commitment of the entire community and members of the Fisipol team, of course there is leadership support to continue to create an inclusive and friendly environment for all groups.
"We are very happy because this proves that our efforts in ensuring accessibility for all parties, especially vulnerable groups, are getting the appreciation they deserve," he said.
This achievement is inseparable from various initiatives which has been implemented by Fisipol in improving facilities and service systems on campus. One of the big steps taken is providing friendly physical facilities for vulnerable groups and service spaces that can be accessed by everyone without obstacles it aims to create an educational experience that is more accessible to all parties, without looking at background or physical condition.
In addition, Fisipol is also developing a digital-based service system, Sidilan (Academic Service Digital System) to make it easier for students and the public to access various academic services.
With this system, students, including those with physical limitations, can still get the academic services they need without having to visit campus directly.
Indah Prabawati, Deputy Dean II for Planning, Finance and Resources added that the award This is proof that Fisipol Unesa is committed to continue to improve the quality of its services.
"We continue to strive so that services at Fisipol can provide comfort for all parties. This award is not the end of our efforts, but is actually an encouragement to continue to innovate and improve the quality of our services," he said.
Furthermore, Indah explained that this success was the result of the cooperation of all parties, including academic staff, administration and students. "We hope that this award can be an inspiration for other institutions to strive to create services that are more inclusive and friendly for vulnerable groups," he added.
One of Fisipol's important steps is training for staff and service managers to be more sensitive and responsive to the needs of vulnerable groups. "This training is very important so that our staff can be better prepared to serve vulnerable groups with empathy and an appropriate approach," said Indah.
In the long term, Fisipol Unesa is committed to continuing to improve its public services, especially in terms of digital accessibility and physical facilities. "We are committed to developing policies that are friendlier to people with disabilities and other vulnerable groups.
