UNESA and FIP leaders together with the Cor Jesu College delegation discussed plans and implementation of international cooperation.
Unesa. ac.id SURABAYA—Faculty of Education, Surabaya State University (FIP UNESA) strengthens international cooperation with Cor Jesu College Philippines. The commitment of both was marked by the signing of the MoA in the Meeting Room of the Rectorate Building, Campus 2 Lidah Wetan, on Monday, 20 May 2024.
This collaboration focuses on collaborative research and curriculum development. Dean of FIP Prof. Dr. Mochammad Nursalim, M.Sc., said he was ready to undertake various cooperation programs.
"There are several programs that will be implemented such as student exchanges, research project collaboration, international community service. There are also guest and summer lecturers camp," he explained.
Vice Chancellor IV for Planning, Development, Cooperation and Information and Communication Technology, Dr. Martadi, M.Sn., said that this collaboration opens up opportunities to strengthen student competencies, insights and experiences.
"I think this is the right momentum to build collaboration in order to improve academic quality between the two institutions ," hoped the Ngawi-born lecturer at the Faculty of Languages and Arts (FBS).
He hopes that this collaboration will be able to encourage lecturers to become teachers at foreign universities and increase the number of students who have experience interacting with international students in order to build soft skills and academic qualities that add value to future competitions.
Representatives from Cor Jesu College expressed their impressions when they first came to Indonesia. He also admitted that he was impressed with UNESA's extensive facilities with adequate facilities for students to develop competencies and abilities.
"I hope that this collaboration can exchange knowledge and experience, and be useful for Filipino students studying at UNESA, especially FIP in developing capabilities that can be used globally," said one of the Cor Jesu College delegates.[]
