In the discussion session, Rifqinizamy Karsayuda explained that the Election Law, Regional Election Law and Political Party Law are currently separate, creating overlapping rules and regulatory fragmentation.

He said.
Furthermore, the Chairman of Commission II of the DPR RI emphasized that the drafting of the Law was intended to provide legal certainty and make the political and electoral system in the country less detrimental to many parties. However, in implementing the omnibus law there are various challenges.
"The challenges of implementing the political omnibus law will depend on public involvement in the process of drafting an inclusive and transparent law, harmonization of regulations in accordance with the needs of the national political system, and the commitment of the government and "The DPR must complete it on time and based on the interests of the people," he explained.
He added that this public discussion forum is a strategic solution for creating an integrated and efficient political system. The consolidation of laws into one text provides legal certainty and harmonization of regulations.
"The existence of support from all partners and elements of the nation, namely the DPR, government, civil society and academics, is the most important key in the success of drafting the Political Omnibus Law, ” he concluded.[*]
