
The Dean of FIP together with the deputy deans confirmed the new international class of students in PKKMB 2024.
Unesa. ac.id., SURABAYA–The Dean of the Faculty of Education (FIP) confirmed new international class students in the Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) at Tennis Hall, UNESA Campus II Lidah Wetan, on Friday, 23 August 2024.
Dean of FIP, Mochamad Nursalim, this international class has entered its second year after being launched in 2023. This is a step in FIP's strategy to increase faculty recognition at the international level, this is part of FIP's efforts to strengthen UNESA's internationalization.
This international class program, he continued, will provide more experiences than regular classes. Students who join the international class will have the opportunity to study abroad such as internships, introduction to the preschool or PLP field, and student exchanges.
Ricky Setiawan, FIP internationalization coordinator explained that as many as 226 of the 1,700 students are spread across 7 The study program is part of the international class. This is of course when lectures in class use more English than Indonesian.
"Most of the assignments given are in English, and international students also get top priority for all existing international exposure activities at FIP," he explained.
He hopes that more FIP 2024 students will be in the international class to experience the experience of studying abroad like the previous batch who went to Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan. "We also hope to be able to send students to Europe in the future," he hoped.
Nasywa, one of the students in the international class of the Guidance Counseling (BK) study program, expressed his feelings after passing the international class selection stage.
"Of course I felt shocked, happy, sad and also mixed, because I had no idea at all about entering this international class, there were 2 stages of the test that I went through, the first was the TOEFL test and the interview, for my own preparation "No, because I'm still busy with the PKKMB assignments given," he said.
With this inauguration, the Faculty of Education (FIP) UNESA is committed to continuing to innovate in globally competitive education and also producing graduates who ready to compete at the international level. With this program, it is hoped that FIP UNESA students can become agents of change who will bring the good name of the alma mater to the global stage.
As part of the closing of the PKKMB, the Dean of FIP also gave an inspirational message to all students to take advantage of every opportunity that exists during their 4 year study period, including programs designed to increase global competitiveness.[]
