
The process of assisting residents around campus regarding how to manage the construction of public facilities.
Unesa.ac.id. SURABAYA—As a form of strengthening the tridharma of higher education, a team of lecturers from the Civil Engineering Undergraduate Study Program, Faculty of Engineering (FT) Surabaya State University (UNESA) carried out community service or (PKM) on Saturday, November 16 2024.
Through the service of the PKM scheme for the campus community, the UNESA Civil Engineering team consisting of Arie Wardhono, Yogie Risdianto, Abdiyah Amudi, and Ninik Wahju Hidajati, provided technical guidance (bimtek) on planning the construction of public facilities (fasum) for residents of RT 03, RW 04, Ketintang Village, Gayungan District, Surabaya.This activity was attended by RT administrators and residents. 03, RW development team. 4 (Pokmas Adiluhung), the chairman and administrators of the Village Community Empowerment Institution (LPMK), the Home Repair Technical Group (KTPR), and representatives of the Ketintang village head.
"This PKM started from the results of discussions with the local community who conveyed "The desire to build public facilities for the RT 3 hall. Apart from that, the activity of renovating houses into 2-3 floors in the RT 3 residential area is quite disturbing for residents regarding the impacts," said Yogie Risdianto, lecturer in Civil Engineering. In the guidance session, the lecturer team UNESA Civil Engineering provides provisions to residents regarding technical matters in development planning, especially buildings in earthquake-prone areas, as well as the effects that occur on residents' housing as a result of nearby development, successfully attracting participants' interest.
This can be seen in many questions asked by PKM participants. The questions and discussions raised focused on how to anticipate possible damage to residents' homes in the short and long term if there are construction activities around residents' housing.
The implementation of this PKM provides valuable capital for residents in understanding work planning construction of public facilities, especially residential houses and how to anticipate damage caused by development around the environment.
