Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA--Hundreds of student participants from various study programs took part in the KFest organized by the Directorate of Media Development or Kece Media together with IDN Media at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Engineering, Ketintang Campus on Thursday 7 September 2023.
< p>This activity carries the theme "How to Find the Right Audience For Your Product". Herma Retno Prabayanti S.E., M.Med.Kom., Director of Media Development, explained that this activity is UNESA's commitment to encourage students to be active in creating and developing positive digital content on social media."Here "participants' insight into content is increasingly developing, don't let the content become empty of viewers even though it is already good and is always a challenge," he said.
This event also supports students to be more creative, especially in developing content on digital media such as social media. Social media, he continued, plays a role in everyday life, especially in the millennial generation.
Ariel Aulia Widjaja, Head of Product IDN Media explained that product research is an inevitable and very important basis in product development. This needs to be emphasized before introducing the product to the general public in the industrial sector.
The main goal of in-depth product research is to ensure that the product to be made can meet the wants and needs of consumers.
"Research that can be carried out is generation Z and millennials who are the majority group so that we can ascertain whether the product is made appropriately or not so that it can compete and be popular with consumers," he explained.
By understanding it thoroughly both consumer preferences and expectations, companies can produce products that are more suited to the market and are more likely to be successful in the industrial sector.
On that occasion, Roisyatun Nadhifah, Senior UX Researcher Associate also emphasized the importance of research on the products they have.
He provides various research methods that can be carried out to find out in depth how the public perceives the products produced.
"We can use qualitative or quantitative methods such as focus group discussions (FGD) or in-depth interviews conducted by discussing with several people about our products," he explained.
Iqbal Zehan, Senior Product Manager, said that marketing products requires an approach to consumers. Consumers or social media audiences need to be analyzed with a deep understanding of the audience's needs, preferences and behavior.
This can involve analyzing data, developing relevant content and interactions to build strong relationships with the audience. "After the problem identification process is resolved, target identification is needed, which here is the case study of influencers and advertisers," he explained. [*]
