Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA—Darma Wanita Association (DWP) Surabaya State University (UNESA) competed with each other to quickly eat crackers and T-shirts in the Hall of the U4 Building, Faculty of Sports and Health Sciences (FIKK), Lidah Campus Wetan, on Wednesday, August 16 2023. They looked lively, full of laughter and cheers supporting their respective teams.
This activity is part of the UNESA DWP way of interpreting and celebrating the 78th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia . In addition to these two competitions, there were also other competitions held. Starting from the competition to carry marble spoons to moving winnowing and clamping balloons.

“We regularly hold competitions like this every August. The goal, apart from celebrating Independence Day, is also to strengthen the closeness of all members and the DWP team. If you look at the katawa, it's all together. It is important to present an atmosphere like this,” said Dra. Hj. Endah Purnomowati Nurhasan, M.Pd., Head of the UNESA DWP.
He continued, August was a historic month for the Indonesian nation. Therefore, it needs to be filled with positive activities that strengthen brotherhood, unity and happiness. That is what each activity is trying to achieve.
"Right now we are only commemorating independence, we are not fighting with weapons on the battlefield. However, as women, our weapon is to fight to educate our children, to fight as husband's companion. to give enthusiasm in dedicating ourselves to UNESA and the Indonesian nation. We fight in our respective positions and versions," she explained. demonstrates a strong sense of kinship and unity. This is an important part of interpreting the Indonesian Independence Day.
"When it comes to UNESA, whatever the vision and mission, we as DWP are always ready to support and participate in advancing UNESA. We as DWP must also have competence and take part in part in the effort to advance UNESA," he said.
Deny Efita Dwi Cahyo Kartiko, Mrs. FIKK's Dean said that the activity was attended by all UNESA DWP ranks consisting of 10 sub-units of the 11 sub-units in DWP FIKK is part of the activity coordinator.
