Unesa.ac.id., SURABAYA—Surabaya State University (UNESA) has succeeded in producing many doctoral graduates from various backgrounds. One who has just completed his doctoral studies is Brigadier General Pol. Nazirwan Adji Wibowo, S.I.K., M.Sc., Head of the National Priority OTS Team.
The one-star general underwent an Open Examination for Doctoral Promotion, Educational Technology Doctoral Study Program, Faculty of Education in the Auditorium, Faculty of Medicine Building, Campus II Lidah Wetan, Surabaya on Monday (30/1/2024).
In the open examination, promovendus Nazirwan Adji Wibowo successfully defended his dissertation in front of a board of internal and external examiners.
The title of his dissertation is "The Influence of Problem Based Learning with Role Playing and Motivation on Attitudes of Responsibility and Problem Solving in the Subject of the Professional Code of Ethics for Police Academic Cadets ".

Meanwhile, the board of examiners is Prof. Dr. Mochamad Nursalim, M.Si; Prof. Dr. Madlazim, M.Si; Prof. Dr. Mustaji, M.Pd; Prof. Dr Haryanto, M.Pd; Dr. Bachtiar Syaiful Bachri, M.Pd; Dr. Fajar Arianto, M.Pd; Dr. Andi Mariono, M.Pd; and Dr. Utari Dewi, M.Pd.
In his presentation, promovendus Nazirwan Adji Wibowo said that his dissertation research started from the dynamics that require the formation or strengthening of character for Police Academy (Akpol) cadets.
He is well aware that the formation and strengthening of his main character is related to responsibility and problem-solving abilities. Strengthening these attitudes and abilities can be done through learning the Polri's professional code of ethics.
Nazirwan Adji Wibowo's findings are that one of the strategies for learning the Polri's professional code of ethics can be a problem-based learning model or what is better known as combined problem-based learning. with role playing.

"It is hoped that cadets will have direct experience of how and what must be done to overcome problems in the field. These attitudes and abilities are important to have as a foundation in carrying out the task of protecting and protecting the community," he explained.< /p>
From the results of his research, problem based learning with role playing has an influence on the attitude of responsibility and problem solving abilities of Police Academy cadets in the subject of the Police Code of Ethics.
Struggle for Doctoral Studies
strong>After officially completing the open exam, he expressed his thanks to the leadership of UNESA, FIP and the lecturers, supervisors and board of examiners. According to him, education is important and must be carried out throughout life. Studying is not only about degrees, but also about insight, perspective and how to approach life with wisdom. Furthermore, it is also to support self-devotion to society and the nation.
That is what makes him enthusiastic about studying up to doctoral level. Thanks to his persistence, Brigadier General Nazirwan Adji Wibowo officially received his 114th doctoral degree in Educational Technology with a GPA of 91.18.
“It's not easy, especially studying a doctoral degree which requires writing scientific articles and research. You need the ability to manage your time well, so that everything can run together. "The point is, I want to learn, discuss and complement each other with friends or lecturers," he said.
