Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA--The Business Management Agency (BPU), Surabaya State University (UNESA) took important steps in an effort to improve the quality of business management and management by visiting the Business Management Agency of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) and Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB).
This visit is part of the UNESA BPU initiative to carry out benchmarking and exchange experiences in managing university businesses.
The UNESA delegation, led by the Head of UNESA BPU, Mahendra Wardhana. SH, M.Kn., together with a number of UNESA BPU staff, arrived at IPB on October 23 2023.
The visit was in order to gain insight into best practices in university business management, which includes financial management, resources people, innovation development, and optimization of university assets.

During the visit, the UNESA delegation was warmly welcomed by ITB and IPB. BPU UNESA was invited to visit various campus facilities and interact with staff and directors of campus-owned Limited Liability Companies.
The UNESA delegation also attended several discussion sessions and presentations which highlighted the latest strategies, challenges and achievements in managing university businesses and how synergy with campus-owned limited companies.
Mahendra Wardhana, said that this visit gave us valuable insight into how to increase income generating through various forms of business.
"We really appreciate the friendliness and cooperation from ITB and IPB in sharing their experiences with us. We hope to be able to implement the knowledge we gain from this visit to advance UNESA," he said.
This visit, he continued, marks a positive step in efforts to escalate state university business management Surabaya, and it is hoped that it will encourage further collaboration with the business world and industry as well as other universities.[]
