Head of BPPG, Fatkur Rohman Kafrawi explained that currently, there are 586 prospective teachers who have passed the selection and are sitting here. They are students or alumni of UNESA and from other universities in East Java. "We reported that the teacher candidates we invited were 586 out of 619 national quotas," he explained.
A total of 586 prospective teachers consist of various fields such as fashion, economics, Natural Sciences (IPA), Social Sciences (IPS), Informatics, and Mechanical Engineering. "Most of the teacher candidates are dominated by the Faculty of Engineering (FT)," he said.
In this training, BPPG students receive many important provisions in both academic and non-academic fields.
He explained The selection scheme for PPG teacher candidates is divided into two, namely substantive (written) tests and interviews. Following Permendikbudristek Number 19 of 2024 concerning PPG, undergraduate graduates apart from education can get the opportunity to become teachers, with a test scheme and additional materials such as matriculation to independent study through modules.
“For non-educators, the government facilitates matriculation and independent study through modules, available on the independent learning page before entering LPTK. "UNESA also emphasizes pedagogy, so that there is no inequality in learning," he said.
In this training, PPG participants receive material related to academic and non-academic fields, scouting and character education. “On Sunday there was direct character formation by Kodiklatal. "Later, you will be given character education regarding discipline and national insight," he said.
