The BPPG and LPSP teams provide assistance to teachers in Madiun regarding the preparation of the P5 Module.
Unesa. ac.id., MADIUN—The Community Service Team (PKM) of the Teacher Professional Education Agency (BPPG) in collaboration with the Professional Education and Certification Institute (LPSP) held a mentoring activity for the preparation of the P5 module for teachers throughout Madiun Regency on 7 June 2024.
This activity involving the PKM BPPG team, LPSP and the Madiun Regency Education and Culture Service (Dispendikbud) took place in the Madiun Regency Dispendikbud Hall, which was attended by teachers and school principals throughout Madiun Regency with a total of 150 participants. They range from elementary school (SD) to high school (SMA).
This activity was led by Dr. Maspiyah, M.Pd from the Professional Education and Certification Institute (LPSP). At the opening of the activity, he emphasized the importance of this activity as a concrete manifestation of UNESA's synergy and collaboration with the Madiun Regency Education and Culture Office.
This collaboration is an effort to improve the quality of education in East Java, not only in areas close to campus, but also educational service institutions in the East Java Province region.
"We hope that this activity can provide great benefits for teachers in the Madiun Regency Education and Culture Department area and we are very proud to be able to collaborate with BPPG from this initiative activity," he said.
Dra. Siti Zubaidah, M.H., as Head of the Madiun Regency Education and Culture Office, welcomed this collaborative activity. In his speech, he stated that this activity was a concrete step to increase teacher professionalism in realizing joyful learning for students.
Apart from that, he said that in 2024 the Madiun Regency Education Office will submit a request to the GTK, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology regarding the implementation of In-Service Professional Teacher Education for 254 teachers in the Madiun Regency area who have not yet received a certificate. educators use APBD costs.
Head of PKM BPPG Activities, Dr. Julianto, S.Pd., M.Pd from UNESA, explained that the main aim of this activity was to socialize the BPPG program and to increase the competency and capability of teachers in the Madiun Regency Education and Culture Department area in compiling the P5 module in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum.
"We hope that with this PKM activity, teachers can produce P5 modules according to demands in implementing the Independent Curriculum in their respective educational units and inspire students after implementing P5, especially for the theme of local wisdom, as a way to preserve culture in the Madiun Regency Dispendikbud area.
In the material giving session, participants received material for preparing the P5 module which includes the main steps, starting from choosing an interesting topic that suits the students' interests, determining goals clear and specific projects, preparing comprehensive project plans, implementing projects according to plan, and evaluating project results.
Furthermore, material presentation and assistance in preparing the P5 module, discussion and evaluation of the results that have been developed. Participants consisting of elementary to high school level teachers seemed very enthusiastic in participating in each session given by the PKM BPPG team.
This activity produced several valuable outputs, including videos of PKM implementation, and P5 modules for Elementary School (SD) to Senior High School (SMA) levels.
The resulting P5 module is expected to be a useful reference for teachers in schools in the Madiun Regency Education Department area in the classroom learning process.
This collaborative PKM activity is part of BPPG's commitment , LPSP, and the Madiun District Education Office to continue to contribute to educational development and increasing professionalism. (*)
