Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA—The Quality Assurance Agency (BPM) of Surabaya State University (UNESA) held a Seminar on the Results of Development, Implementation and Evaluation of the OBE (Outcome Based Education) Curriculum at the Alana Hotel, on 17-19 October 2024.
Head of BPM UNESA, Widowati Budijastuti explained that the international accreditation scheme A grant which was attended by representatives of 12 Indonesian universities was aimed at providing assistance to study programs that want to gain international recognition and activity.
This grant is not just assistance , but also as a strategic effort in developing an outcome-based education (OBE) curriculum.
"The curriculum that we have developed is outcome-based. This means that the graduate profile is the main reference. All learning outcomes (CPL) are designed to achieve that profile," he said.

The compiled CPL, he continued, must support the achievement of the graduate profile, including skills such as mastery of English and regional languages according to stakeholder requests.
Widowati also explained that after the CPL and Program Learning Outcomes (PLO) were prepared, the curriculum was implemented and its success was monitored.
"Assessment of the success of CPL and PLO is very important. This will ensure that the curriculum developed really achieves the expected goals," he emphasized.

In addition, this grant is expected can support UNESA's efforts in creating income generating through various international activities.
"The hope is that this can develop internal resources and funding, so that UNESA does not only depend on government funds, but can also generate independent funds through international activities that "said Widowati.
There were dozens of university participants who attended, namely the Singkawang Institute of Science and International Business, PGRI University Pontianak, Malangkucecwara College of Economics, STIE Mahardhika Surabaya, and Gunung Jati Swadaya University.
Apart from that, Muhammadiyah University Surabaya, Semarang State University, Muhammadiyah University Malang, 17 August 1945 University Surabaya, Nurul Jadid University Probolinggo, Lambung Mangkurat University, Unika Atma Jaya, and IPMI Institute were also present.[*]
