SURABAYA—The name of Surabaya State University (UNESA) has once again echoed on the national stage through the achievements obtained by the Director of Public Relations and Public Information, Vinda Maya Setianingrum at the 2024 Kartini Public Relations Indonesia (KaHI) Awards. Awading This competition took place at Graha Pos Indonesia, Bandung, on Friday, August 30 2024.
Kartini Humas Indonesia (KaHI) is a very prestigious competition to find female public relations practitioners or public relations who will inspire Indonesia's future . There are three categories being competed this year, namely generation ”Alhamdulillah, I am very happy to be able to bring UNESA's name to the national stage through the competition I participated in. "This achievement cannot be separated from the support of all levels of leadership and the UNESA community," said Vinda Maya after the awarding.
The Communications Science (Ikom) lecturer added that the KaHI competition took place in early April 2024 then. There are several assessment stages that must be passed, from administration, uploading materials to presentations. For him, this competition is very challenging, because he has to compete with public relations or PR practitioners throughout Indonesia, from the ministry level to universities and the private sector.

“I I have participated in Indonesian Public Relations activities or events several times. However, for the competition, I only had time to participate. "My intention is to build networks and increase insight and experience about public relations," explained Kartini Humas Indonesia 2024.
In this competition, the woman born in Blitar carried the theme Inclusion with the aim of increasingly voicing equality of access and quality of education for children with disabilities. Also to further brand UNESA as a campus that is friendly to vulnerable groups.

This is a motivation for me to continue to voice equality for the nation's children through public relations duties and functions.
