Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA— Graduation period 110 of the State University of Surabaya (UNESA) was attended by the Mayor of Surabaya, Eri Cahyadi, on Thursday, July 11 2024 at Graha UNESA Lidah Wetan Campus. At this sacred moment, Eri conveyed the importance of the role of college graduates in changing the city of Surabaya and the future of the Indonesian nation.
He believes that the 1056 graduates of the 'home of champions' campus are able to change the world through their struggle, as their predecessors did during the Youth Pledge, Rengasdengklok, until the 1998 reformation.

So, added Eri, young people must move dynamically by seeing and reading the changing trends of the times both at home and abroad. This is necessary so that young people can continue to adapt to the current changes in increasingly modern times.
Eri Cahyadi gave motivation and talked about the important role of the younger generation in UNESA's graduation hopes.
In addition to having to Moving hand in hand in the dynamics of changing times, Eri invited graduates to continue to move hand in hand with the Surabaya city government in resolving various issues such as climate change, economic instability, and cultural multiculturalism.
For him, young people are the determinants of the city's future with all their fresh ideas and great energy. He also said that in this era of technological disruption, young people are required to learn and adapt well.
This is in line with facts on the ground where digitalization has emerged in the fields of medicine, education, economic turnover and buying and selling transactions, right down to the employment sector which uses robots.
Furthermore, the PDI-P cadre emphasized that the role of youth is very central in government. So collaboration and synergy are needed between the city government and youth to improve the city of Surabaya and a better future for the nation.
