Unesa.ac.id., SURABAYA--Staff and residents of the Surabaya State University (UNESA) Dormitory took part in disaster response training with the Surabaya City Fire Brigade in the Dormitory Yard, Lidah Wetan Campus, Surabaya on Friday, September 15 2023.

On this occasion, participants consisting of students, security and cleaning services began by providing material on the basics of fire response. Apart from that, under the guidance of fire extinguishers, participants also tried to simulate how to extinguish a fire using a light fire extinguisher or APAR. Also simulated blackout using jute sacks.

This activity is a mitigation effort by the UNESA Dormitory Directorate to anticipate fires and equip dormitory residents with fire disaster response capabilities. This activity was attended by the leadership of the Dormitory Directorate. Meanwhile, Hariyanto and his team were present from Damkar. (*)
