Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA —The Academic Senate of Surabaya State University or SAU UNESA held a Book Review of the Thoughts of UNESA Professors Towards a Golden Indonesia on Tuesday, 11 September 2024 in the Auditorium of the Lidah Wetan Campus 2 Rectorate Building.
SAU Secretary, Nining Widyah Kusnanik, said that The creation of this book is a concrete manifestation of UNESA's commitment to presenting comprehensive ideas in the education system in Indonesia.
In detail, there are 87 scientific work titles from UNESA professors which are divided into two series. The first series includes the Faculty of Languages and Arts (FBS) with 12 titles, the Faculty of Education (FIP) with 10 titles, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (Fisipol) with 5 titles, and the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) with 10 titles.
Then the second series includes the Faculty of Sports and Health Sciences (FIKK) with 9 titles, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) with 31 titles, the Faculty of Engineering (FT) and the Vocational Faculty (FV) with 10 titles.
"The presence of this book is also in line with the preparation of superior human resources towards the era of Golden Indonesia," he said.
In line with this statement, the Vice Chancellor for Academic, Student and Alumni Affairs, Madlazim said that there is a book The Thoughts of Professors UNESA has an important role for both internal and external campuses.

UNESA experts together with Unair and UINSA experts at a book review event on the thoughts of UNESA professors at the Lidah Wetan Campus 2 Rectorate, Surabaya.
Muhammad Turhan Yani, who is part of the book editing team, said that this monumental work is a real form of UNESA's contribution to the nation.
"We collected scientific works from 87 professors in each faculty and we published this valuable work," said the professor who leads the UNESA Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM).
In the book review procession, the resource person who is a professor and Postgraduate Director of Sunan Ampel State Islamic University Surabaya (UINSA) Masdar Hilmy, responded that this monumental work should not just be read and evaporated.
According to him, these two scientific works must have moving power and transformative effects. So UNESA needs to help create a national education road map towards a Golden Indonesia in accordance with its expertise.
"One way is that Unesa must have the courage to hold an audience with the president and other government institutions to offer these two valuable works," he said .
Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (Fisip) Airlangga University (Unair) Bagong Suyanto, said that reading books is an activity that is more substantial and provides a knowledge impact than building a building. In particular, reading these two UNESA Professor's Thoughts books.
For him, what is in these two series of books has relevance to the problems that exist in this country. Such as poverty, inequality, industry and various other social issues. "This book will have a tremendous impact on the Indonesian nation if every thought of its professor is truly realized," he said. (*)
