SURABAYA—The leadership of the State University of Surabaya (UNESA) who are also the administrators of the East Java Indonesian Student Sports Advisory Board (Bapomi) welcomed the visit of the leadership of Bapomi East Kalimantan (Kaltim) in the 7th Floor Meeting Room of the Lidah Wetan Campus 2 Rectorate, Thursday, December 21 2023.< /p>
There were a number of aspects discussed on that occasion, including cooperation in developing university sports achievements in the Etam Continent (nickname for East Kalimantan). Apart from that, it also concerns the construction of a sports faculty at Mulawarman University (Unmul).
This visit not only aims to strengthen academic cooperation between universities, but also to provide opportunities for Unmul students to explore further studies in the environment. Unesa academics, especially related to sports.
“Bapomi East Java and East Kalimantan need to strengthen synergy to increase achievements in each region. "Apart from that, we also have plans to open a sports faculty as an important part of developing sports achievements in East Kalimantan, so we need to explore UNESA's experience," said Prof. Dr. H. Moh. Bahzar, M.Si, Chair of Bapomi Kaltim.
The man who is the deputy chancellor 1 Unmul continued, this collaboration is considered important and needs to be realized in the near future, both in the form of lecturer and student exchanges. In this way, human resource development can be carried out according to needs.
"We hope that this collaboration can make a positive contribution to improving the quality of education in the sports sector at Mulawarman University and other universities in East Kalimantan," he said.< /p>
Secretary of Bapomi Kaltim, Gufran, S.E, added that UNESA is one of the best centers for sports and student development in the country. Of course, there are many things that can be learned and become a reference for the party to escalate sports development in East Kalimantan.
Chairman of East Java Bapomi Prof. Dr. Madlazim, M.Sc., stated that he was ready to work together to develop better sports achievements in the country in the future. UNESA Deputy Chancellor 1 is ready to carry out this collaboration and hopes that it will become a form of strengthening sports achievements in both East Kalimantan and East Java.[]
