SURABAYA—Law Department, Faculty of Law (FH) Surabaya State University (UNESA) together with the Expertise Body of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) discussed the Academic Text of the Draft Law concerning the Second Amendment to Law Number 17 of 2008 concerning Shipping in Focus Group Discussion (FGD), in Building H, Faculty of Law (FH).
This activity which took place on Thursday, March 21 2024 was a momentum for stakeholders including UNESA Law experts to discuss a number of crucial points related to the plan changes to the law
Present with the group, the Chair of the DPR-RI Legislative Regulation Drafting Team, Zaqiu Rahman, S.H., M.H., said that this FGD was intended to accommodate ideas, input and studies related to several points in the Bill Shipping, including the formulation of the Sea Coast and Guard, Archipelagic Sea Lanes (ALK), Cabotage Principles, and Delegation Regulations.

This meeting also highlighted the regulation of archipelagic sea lanes in the event of a marine disaster and the losses that arise if violations occur in archipelagic sea lanes.
